for the love of the sidekick loser

They’re always there, through thick and thin,

And always for the belly laughs,

But underneath, they’re always softest souls

With hearts that burst with crazy love,

They’ll cherish you until the bitter end.

Because I don’t really like leaving my house, I watch a lot of TV series and I find that I always adore the slightly nutty, slightly annoying, but very loveable sidekick.

And I don’t mean in a Batman and Robin kind of way. I mean the zany kind of flat mate way. They are always there for comic relief, but these characters mean so much to me and I often find myself only watching a show so that I can wait for their appearance.

I think it stems from the fact that I always view myself as the sidekick in life, never the leading lady. I see myself in those characters that other people just find a bit annoying.

Perhaps I should spend 2023 stepping up to the plate and becoming that leading lady. Or perhaps I should just find a band of losers just like me?

Much Love

Rachel xx

Those are great characters, aren’t they, Rachel? They do add comic relief, but they also are such staunch friends, too. You know the main characters would be far less without them.
