a little sunlight therapy

Standing on the morning porch

Waiting for the rays to break

The dawn time bright horizon line,

Eyes closed and arms outstretched,

An earthly angel here to sing.

I have heard that getting up and watching the sunrise while outside is a really healthy way to start the day as it is good for your circadian rhythm.

Now, I’m no scientist so I’m only going on what I’ve read and what I’ve experienced in my own life. As a distance runner I can honestly say that running through the night is so hard. But as the sun starts to break you suddenly get an extra burst of energy that you don’t normally get every day.

The only problem is that I’m a bit of a night owl so getting up at 5am is going to be a bit of a mission.

Much Love

Rachel xx

I have to admit, Rachel, I’m a morning person – very much so. I love to see the sun rise, and yes, it does give you a boost of energy. It reminds me that we humans are diurnal…
