The plastics, that’s what they call them,
The girls who march through hallways,
All around the world, short skirts
And midriffs showing, despite
Those Catholic School rules
And the teachers’ eyebrows raised.
The boys all turn to stare, while girls
Shrink backwards, wishing they were plastic too,
Cos God forbid you get in their way.
We are getting towards the end of the school year here and everyone is starting to get a little bit tetchy. My tutor group are just completing thesir first year and the friendship issues that are going on at the moment are shocking. And, of course, the girls are by far the worst.
It reminds me so much of the movie, Mean Girls, and there are definitely some Plastics in my class. I literally want to just bang their heads together and tell them to get their act together. I know that kids need to get this all out of themselves and they’ve not had the right amount of social training because of COVID, but OMG, this is getting out of hand.
Take care of each other and be kind.
Much Love

No doubt about it, Rachel, Plastics are in a lot of schools, all over. They do make life miserable, and the sad thing is, they do it to themselves. They always seem so miserable, too, don’t they, no matter what their show of bravado might suggest…

I love that movie. That’s so fetch.

“Mean Girls” is a great movie. There are Plastics in every school, everywhere.
