first class curtain

They sashay past in navy skirts
And crimson ties around their necks,
Little hats perched on heads.
Champagne? they call,
Pushing trolleys down the aisles.
Peanuts? Pretzels? Chicken? Beef?
And then they disappear
Behind that velvet curtain
Where the magic people live,
The ones with money, fame,
People more important than you and I.
